Utopia (good place) is a genre of fine arts and fiction that is definitely close to science fiction. The works of that genre show a model of an ideal society. The authors of such literary and visual works firmly believe in the perfection of the world they have created.
Basically, the authors propose technological utopias, where all social problems are solved by scientific and technical progress, or social utopias, which means that humanity changes the existing society. The painting was made in 2021, a year after the horror of the war. Despite the name of the painting, it is not made in the utopian genre. In the foreground we see black crows sitting on branches. One of the birds prepares to fly, while the two look at the latter, not understanding the meaning of the flight. We also see the city's skyscrapers rising through the air, leaving a sense of intangibility. One can feel the perspective, in the distance another city can be seen in pink tones, which seems to want to be reborn in the sunrise, where the artist left that city unfinished.
As I already mentioned, the composition was made a year after the war, in which the city where the artist lived in the past is felt floating, leaving the feeling of an unfinished future. The brush strokes are done sharply, leaving black lines that seem to erase the main plot. The painter leaves the vision of utopia to the observer in the distance.
