The canvas is done in subtle tones, really conveying to the viewer the sweet aroma of the work. In the foreground we see several bunches of flowers, the scent of which is appreciated by the cat. In the warmth of the shades, the white and greenish-gray colors of the cat have merged, giving the observer the scent of soft pink. The saturation of the colors of the vases give a tonal shade to the canvas. Next to one of the bunches we see a girl's face, which seems to make the composition complete and without the beautiful girl the scent would not be conveyed. In the canvas, the bouquet is taken out of its inner context and it's as if the bouquets are right in front of our eyes, you can reach out and touch them, because the master managed to convey their scent.
The girl's features are as delicate as the whole canvas. Time seems to have frozen, stopped, where there is no tension and movement. Only the presence of the cat gives the canvas lightness and movement. A gentle sadness is felt throughout the canvas. The petals of the flowers are painted with care and create an impression of real luxury.
